Apparently difficult to achieve, A List Apart has used flash in its design, and managed to validate as XHTML.
Pretty soon, you'll all code in XHTML.

To continue to riff off of the Wired re-launch and use of xhtml for positioning, here is a list of over 900 sites using CSS for positioning and layout, instead of tables and spacer GIFs.
This was put up from the Web Nouveau's cache, so it's not perfect. Since I haven't been able to reach Donimo, I went ahead and posted the list with credit to him. If he has an issue, I will take it down. In the meantime, here's the list of sites using CSS without tables except in the case of data tabulation, which is the purpose of tables.
